Let's Build Confidence, Clarity & Capability

I’m Tammy Watson—and I’m here to remind your people that they aren’t broken; they’ve just been working with a few leaky pipes.
As a Provincial Investigator and the founder of Canadian Handywoman, I bring a blend of get-it-done grit and investigative precision to the stage. I don’t believe in shouting motivation. I believe in Grounded Transformation—handing your audience a metaphorical (or sometimes literal) wrench and showing them how to fix the friction that’s holding them back.
My sessions are a mix of deep storytelling, practical frameworks, and the kind of "we’ve all been there" humour that lets people exhale. Whether I’m delivering a keynote or leading a hands-on workshop, my goal is the same: to move your team from "patching holes" to building a foundation of Calm Confidence.
Together, we’ll create a space where it is safe to be human, safe to learn out loud, and—most importantly—safe to start over.
What Clients Say:

Ideal for: Women’s conferences • leadership retreats • community events
The Challenge: Many people are exhausted from performing resilience instead of actually healing, processing, and moving forward.
What the Talk Covers: A deeply human keynote on self-trust, trauma, and reinvention. Tammy shares her lived experience of building a life rooted in courage, honesty, and choice — one brave step at a time.
What It Feels Like in the Room: Nurturing, grounded, and deeply validating. This is a storytelling session where no one is asked to fix themselves or have it all figured out.
Audience Outcome: An audience that feels inspired, seen, less alone, and more willing to choose self-compassion over perfection.

Ideal for: Corporate teams • entrepreneurs • organizations in transition
The Challenge: Highly capable people often spin in circles when facing uncertainty, leading to overthinking, stalled decisions, and fatigue.
What the Talk Covers: An introduction to Tammy’s practical Solution-Finder framework — a clear, repeatable way to quiet the noise, assess options, and make the next “right” move without needing full certainty.
What It Feels Like in the Room: Empowering, focused, and relieving. Equal parts insight and “ohhh, that makes sense.”
Audience Outcome: A shared language for decision-making, increased confidence, and permission to take action without waiting to feel ready.

Ideal for: Wellness series • caregiving organizations • high-performance workplaces
The Challenge: Burnout rarely happens all at once — it’s usually caused by dozens of small, invisible leaks that go unnoticed until exhaustion sets in.
What the Talk Covers: A metaphor-driven session that helps people identify the habits, roles, and expectations quietly draining their energy — and decide what’s actually worth fixing.
What It Feels Like in the Room: Practical, lighthearted, and surprisingly reassuring. No blame. No overwhelm.
Audience Outcome: Clear, realistic boundaries and quick-fix strategies that help people reclaim focus, energy, and capacity before burnout takes hold.

A facilitated deep-dive that helps teams develop a shared approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and forward movement — especially during periods of uncertainty or change.

A collective look at the small, often invisible issues that quietly drain a team’s energy and productivity — with space to identify what’s actually worth fixing and what’s simply noise.

A unique, hands-on experience using simple tools and tasks to explore communication, learning styles, and trust in real time.
No prior experience required — the focus is on collaboration, not competence.
Tammy Watson is on a mission to prove that nobody is broken — sometimes, we just have a few leaky pipes to fix. As the founder of Canadian Handywoman, she bridges the gap between emotional resilience and practical capability.
Her career has been anything but linear. From years as a Provincial Investigator — where she honed deep listening and high-stakes problem-solving — to building a business that empowers people to learn, try, and trust themselves, Tammy understands that confidence isn’t something you’re born with; it’s something you build, one brave choice at a time.
On stage, Tammy is known for her nurturing presence, her “we’ve all been there” humour, and her ability to make a large room feel like a kitchen table conversation. She creates safe spaces where people can learn out loud, move past burnout, and reclaim their sense of agency.
When she isn’t speaking or facilitating, Tammy is based in Quinte West, Ontario — usually fixing something, teaching someone else how to fix it, or reminding a friend they’re far more capable than they think.

Location: Based in southeastern Ontario. Available for in-person, travel, and virtual sessions
Session Formats: Keynotes are typically 60 minutes while Workshops & Team Experiences are 90 minutes or half-day formats. All sessions can be adapted to fit your event schedule and audience needs.
AV & Room Needs: Lapel mic • HDMI connection for slides • Space that allows for light movement or breakout work (for workshops)
Practicality First: No fluff. Every session includes clear ideas, language, or tools attendees can use immediately — not someday, not “when things slow down,” but that afternoon.

Psychological Safety Built In: As a facilitator, Tammy specializes in creating zero-judgment spaces where people feel safe to learn out loud, ask questions, and participate without fear of being singled out or left behind.
Real-World Credibility: With a background as a Provincial Investigator and an award winning entrepreneur, Tammy brings grounded, real-life experience that resonates with professional audiences — especially those navigating complexity, change, or burnout.

Absolutely. While my core frameworks (like the Solution-Finder Mindset) stay consistent, I tailor the stories, examples, and emphasis to resonate with your specific audience — whether that’s corporate teams, frontline workers, entrepreneurs, or community groups. We’ll talk through your goals during a short discovery call.
A Keynote is story-driven and designed to shift perspective and inspire a room of any size. A Team Experience (workshop) is interactive and hands-on, with facilitated discussion and shared practice. These work best for smaller groups (typically under 40) who want to apply the ideas together.
Nope — I bring everything needed for the session. All I ask is a space where people can move a bit and a way to display a few slides.
My work is designed primarily for women and women-led communities, especially those balancing leadership, caregiving, entrepreneurship, or high expectations with limited support. I also work with organizations and mixed teams who want to better understand confidence, decision-making, and sustainable ways of working.
These sessions resonate most with audiences who value safety, practicality, and real conversation — not performative motivation.
Yes. I’m based in Southeastern Ontario and regularly work with organizations across the province. I offer in-person, travel, and high-energy virtual sessions. If you’re unsure what format makes the most sense, we can talk it through.
Yes. I’m happy for sessions to be recorded for internal learning purposes so team members who couldn’t attend can still benefit. I simply ask that recordings not be sold or used externally without a quick conversation first.
The first step is a no-pressure 15-minute Discovery Call. We’ll talk about your event, your audience, and what success looks like. If it feels like a good fit, I’ll follow up with a clear proposal.
